odour eliminator

my friend has bought a car and she says it smells faintly of baby sick (yuk) it was disguised by a lemon air freshener. it could be anything i guess but as she has no idea where it may be coming from can anyone recommend something to use to get rid. i was looking at some of those car fogger things, or even oust, but have no idea really

Probably milk or dairy product dropped on the carpet or seats. Disgusting and takes forever to go, if ever. (Used to have a company car that someone had dropped a pint of milk in).

Alternatives are things like bacteria infected water is the screen washer, blocked drains with stagnant water, etc.

Go with above post if the fabric/carpet, but horrible as it is try to find the location by smelling the washer bottle, carpets, vents, etc.
 
I spilt milk in the boot of my old Freelander (but I didn't cry over it).
I cleaned it thoroughly bit the stink wouldn't go away. I had to keep cleaning it and re-cleaning it with anti bacterial washing stuff. It went eventually but it took ages.
 
Has it got a pollen filter? They can become disgusting if not changed for years.
 
the car is fine regarding those things. it was fully serviced with filters changed etc its just a lingering smell inside. its proabably had a animal/baby/kid vom in it or like you said spilt milk.

i doubt she will take the seats out but i'm sure she will go over it with a cleaner of some description. any recommendations those fogger things get mixed results?
 
You can get an odour bomb....

They are about £10...

Some detailers and valeters have odour foggers...These do work much better,finding someone who has one will be the hard bit.
