Thanks, I was looking at this one, but the seller tells me they're for pre-06 cars, however the seats come from a facelift so I was unsure whether this was correct. Do you have experience with this part?

I'm sure it connects to the cars wiring loom not the seat itself!
The adaptor will work as it plugs into the cars wiring loom not the seats, thus plugging this in to your preface lift wiring loom disables the seat pad function on your car regardless if you have a seat fitted or not...

Remember to buy a seat belt clip to override the beeper telling you to fasten the passenger seat belt

I've heard mixed stories about this. Some people om here don't seem to need this. Do you use an occupany bypass and blet clip?
Anyone else have experience?

If fitting facelift seats you need to do the following:
Fit occupancy black box from pre-facelift seats to new facelift seats, them fit bypass module.
Second is either by a seatbelt clip as the car thinks there is always someone in the passenger seat, or get the car coded via SSSv32 retro section and disable seatbelt chime to passenger seat.

I am working on a failsafe system to completely over ride the airbag light problem as part of my build. I literally connected everything up today without the bucket seats going in to see if it all works out ok and it all fits fine! Remembr the airbag light WILL go on unless you disconnect the battery beforehand for at least 20-30minutes also its worth nothing the airbag light is also activated from improoper installation of the seatbelt pre tensioner wires too.
When the dust has settled on project marmite I may do a compelte write up of how to instal after market seats into an e85 as there isnt one on the net yet.

Why would you need a seatbelt clip? Just plug the seatbelt into the harness when you dont have a passenger already using it??? lol...

Coding requires as stated SSSv32 in retro section, an Indy should be able to do it. I have software and did it myself. Disable seatbelt chimes to passenger seat.
