Anybody recommend one and a source for the codes, just in case they are not supplied with the reader.
Also anyone had any problems disconnecting the battery and then reconnecting, other than than resetting the clock and radio memories.
They say that you might want to have a sit down with a whisky before disconnecting a battery on a modern BMW........
BUT.........
If you are disconnecting the re-connecting the SAME battery, I think you'll be OK.
It's when you want to REPLACE the old one with a NEW battery that a lot of resetting to the electronics could be needed.
The list of issues it could throw up is literally frightening.
This is because a NEW battery will (usually) have a higher voltage and all the modules in the car need to be reset (having adapted to the lower voltage of the OLDER battery).
