Glad to hear your on the mend.

You surely have one heck of a war story to tell at the pub and the scars to prove it. Yep. I remember. It was 1944. I was fighting a whole German division all by my self. When...... I'll let you make up the rest.

That would put you about 90 ish! :D

I am an old bastard. Although not quite that old. I like the shark story as well. Of course MM can earn lots of extra girl points by adding that he fought that shark in an effort to save a baby

Actually I'll be 56 the day after Xmas. Fortunately I never experienced the effects of a major war such as WWII. Although I was in the US Air Force for 20 yrs. I thankfully never saw the weapons system that I worked on used other than for a test and strapped to the side of the space shuttle to give it a boost. I used to work on Minuteman II electronic guidance systems.

Those are some nasty cuts :o

Hope you heal up ok, did the hospital give you anything to fend off potential infection etc?

You're just a boy a 56 :D

Although we had some rationing after the war for a few years, there were plenty of "bomb sites" for quite some time.

Ouch, I bet that smarts.
GWS.

Ps, when you saw the photo did anyone else think of the Pepperami ad?

I just looked for the first time (before reading your comment) and thought exactly the same thing  ...bet the nurses draw some eyes on it when he's asleep!!

In all seriousness - hope you mend quickly MM and that there are no long lasting side effects.

Glad to hear you're back on the mend mate.

I think the shark attack story would work!

Only trouble being if Mrs Monkey is with you!!! (nothing worse than someone spoiling your fun!!)

OUCH! I can't believe I've only just seen this thread, shows how much attention I pay!
Do you have a Dog at home? If so, probably best to keep him away from the randy looking gashes ;)
Serious man points for walking around straight after!
