Number plate LED bulbs

Had a bulb out at the back, was told by two separate people but everytime I check they are both on?! Anyways thought it's a good time to upgrade as my mrs has got a new 1 series convertible with LED numberplate lights and it looks awesome. Has anyone replaced their standard bulbs with these and error free?
