NS Wingmirror Glass Fell out!!! Furious!

WHY didn't I replace this when it was a simple, easy 'preventative' task?!?!?!

The bloody glass on my passenger wingmirror came away on the motorway last night, and bashed the door and rear quarter on the way past, chipping the hell out of it.

I've only just had the bloody door resprayed after some fool at work reversed a trailer into it, now it needs another respray! I'm so upset with myself :(

Can anyone recommend the best supplier of a replacement glass? Ebay seem to do a few, but the fitment doesn't quite look oem...? I've heard dealer prices are ridiculous, so not interested in them unless they've come down significantly...??

Most seem to use the ebay ones.

How bad is the door. Would touching up and wet sanding sort it, or is there too much damage?
 
Having cleaned the car it's not as bad as I had first thought... It's still really really annoying though. There are maybe a dozen chips around the door handle and across the upper forward most part ofthe rear quarter. I'll be obtaining a quote for getting the two panels dealt with (be it sprayed or whatever witchcraft chip removal does!)

It'dfrustrating as some of the chips are down the bare metal, and although small it ires me to leave them untouched
