Now, everyone keeps talking about stubbys on this forum.....

not everybody .........
There's some that cherish the original stalk and and are unimpressed with stubbiness.......... :D

I replaced my OEM one yesterday with a stubby. It looks better and now I have a spare aerial for my Series 1.

Personally I find it a bit ridiculous in this day and age that we have a piece of metal stuck out of the car in the first place... even my TT didn't have one at all and the radio reception was great.

do they still broadcast on AM ?? and to who ? I know no-one that listens to AM anymore.....

In the UK all sport is broadcast on AM except, of course, if you have a DAB radio.

Had a Mangowalk on my Zed's over last three year and found the reception to be pretty good on FM but never listened to AM,i've recently just bought this OEM stubby just slighty longer but still looks better than the whip IMO

Listened to AM radio on 909, via my recently fitted stubby, on my journey back home from Cambridge this evening. Great reception listening to the football from White Hart Lane. Well chuffed with the reception and particularly Spurs fine win over the Gooners. :D
