hi, anyone fitted a different clutch stop, and does it help the gearshifting at all or adjusted the stock bmw one, 2007 z4 m coupe, thanks, any thoughts.
Don't believe the CDV delete does anything to reduce notchiness as it only slows the flow of fluid when you're releasing the clutch pedal!Adamski said:Remove clutch delay valve (CDV) should help.
You support it, but you think it pointless...Adamski said:Yeah ok
I'll butt out, I've not got an ///M, but do support CDV removal. I think it's pointless

The point of the clutch stop mod isn't to raise the height at which the clutch engages but to determine the actual engagement point just after you lift off from the stop beneath the pedal. This way you're not having to modulate the clutch with your left foot to get engagement to avoid the kangarooing and possible problems caused by the CDV (clutch delay valve).Steve220 said:Is there not an adjustment on the linkage to the clutch master cylinder? We used to do it on the Evo's loads to give the bite near the top of the throw.
