Notchy 1st and 2nd

Perhaps im just lucky, i have no problems with the gearbox or clutch in mine. I guess i do apply a little more force that other manual cars, but i like the direct feel as you push/pull into gears, it seems well suited to a relatively powerful car.

Glad to hear this is a common problem, picked up my Z in December and I also find first and second very notchy to engage and first occasionally does appear to want to go in. I have to do second then first. I was worried it was abox problem.

I can't say I've noticed mine is notchy, however it isn't slick that's for sure - I had a mk1 MX5 before, that was the definition of slick!
