Not sure which wheels to go for (if any)

I've never been a fan on the MV2, but they certainly suit the coupe better then the roadster.

I'd say stick with what you have for now.. and down the road after you have seen a few more style then pick which one you like... especially if you are limiting yourself to 18 now... down the road you may decide to go for 19's (or even 17's!)

I got some 19" VMR 710's...not oem but most people think they are bmw wheels!

I have some OEM 108s with tyres if you are interested. You could use these for winter and keep the MV2s for summer.

I love the 108's.. however that is totally the wrong way around.. 108's for winter require a lot of maintence to prevent corrosion... mv2's on the other hand would be ideal winter wheels.

This is one of the main reasons i swapped my 108's as i just had them replaced by BMW under the warranty and couldnt deal with the maintenance of them to keep them corrosion free.

As promised here are the pics of my coupe with 18" CSL replicas which were fitted last week. The fronts are 8J as standard with 225/40x18 Falken 452's but the rear are slightly wider 9J but with the same 255/35x18 as is the standard. The wider 9J just fills the rear arch a bit more and enables the dish effect of the CSL wheel.

I think the 19" would have looked better but as I like to go to airfield trackdays (no barriers to spoil the day) the guy that supplied them advised against this due to rubbing issues when the shock is fully compressed.

I've just done the front discs and pads today as well so its all good up front, rear discs and pads next month!





I painted the disc centre as well to hopefully prevent the ugly rust appearing





They are also a lot easier to clean than the MV2s...

Have a look at at BM autosport in Eastbourne, as I said they took my wheels in PX so got a good price with new tyres as well... One thing with the Falken tyres is they don't have much in the way of rim protection so going to have to be super cautious near the kerbs.

Oh no i should'nt have looked at this thread, as much as i like my 108's the csl's look fantastic and for not much money.Now i just need to run it by the GF :|

like the aero skirts and side debadge.. but imo csl style wheels on a coupe really need to be 19's... your looks too small.
