Had 'check engine' light on, driving fine so left it as think I have gone a sensor on the way out, was stuck in traffic and when in the hidden menu found 'Sensor Check' went to it, pressed the knob and it went out and has stayed off.

I believe when you get a emissions fault, even if emission go back within parameters it will stay on for a few days before resetting.


It may have been a coincidence but make be worth checking with other members.

Mines was the exact same. Light came on after a long trip of about 125 miles. 2 days later light went out when I started the car. Bonus my car fixes itself

I am sure there is a pattern but I haven't worked it out.
yesterday we did 150 miles of motorway at 60mph then a blast of third gear over the cat and fiddle.
back to pootling and the light came on.
