Not such a good week

Started my week with being forced off road by fool overtaking a car coming towards me. Had nowhere to go but up kerb :x


Both wheels damaged. Better news is found someone who can sort for £150. And yes car is dirty as been so busy this week.

2. The disc guard has come completely loose and rattling noisily. Thinking of just taking completely off till new one arrives. Will this cause any issues?

3. Roof motor stopped working. Roof was lowering from key and seemed to be stuck against something on way down as could hear motor working stopped it as soon as could and noticed it got slower to raise and lower after this. I was thinking it may have either burnt motor our or hopefully lost hydraulic fluid. Any suggestions

Hi Ross, bad news on the wheels mate. You have probably already had a look but check to see if your boden cable is seated correctly, people i know had the exact same thing and found their boden has somehow come out of the sleeve!

Very strange, but has happened to a few. :idunno:

Thanks tug will double check that. It seemed to be seated correctly.
Dash cam is on order. Didn't get number plate as was concerned about getting out of way and of course he didn't stop
 
Bad luck mate.

My brake shield also came loose this week. Took the wheel off to have a look and the metal has corroded around the bolts and pulled through. Fixed it by using some large washers with the original bolts for now. New part (for the front anyway) is only £43 from stealers but you need to remove the hub as I found out once I had my calipers and disc off! Hence the quick fix for now.

Yes I found same with hub. Will maybe try the washer idea and see if works
