Nose up, or nose down?

A forthcoming change of address brings with it an inclined driveway, although only quite moderate.
Whilst it's never been of concern before, the question now is should habitual parking for an E85 be facing up or facing down a slope in order to minimise the potential for water ingress?
I know this has been commented on several times over the years - but it doesn't show up easily on a search...

cheers

Have a slight sloping drive. Its downward from the house to the road.
Never considered drainage.
We have always reversed parked. It's easier and it makes leaving far safer with better vision.

All 4. Reversed.

The only time I ever park forwards is if I need access to the boot or I'm working on the front of the car in front of the garage.

I thought this would be a simple answer but I’ve had to ponder it

If it was my car I think it would be engine/front uphill- purely if there is water ingress it’s going to stay away from components that don’t like water: yaw sensor and airbag modules

Having left both an E36 and E85 (M54) with the front jacked up for a few days respectively, if you've got any oil leaking from the rocker cover gasket it goes all over the exhaust leaving it nose high.

Mine has a slight incline upwards so I park nose up, as was said earlier it makes it safer driving out onto the road.

So it's a useful tool for diagnosis too. Nose up wins.

Having adjusted BMW handbrakes until blueness of face sets in, I'd say it doesn't matter because you'll be more worried about fishing it out of the road or the wall of the house at regular intervals!

Whatever you prefer or is easiest. Only thing with the ///MR was the hill assist brake, used to be a bit overzealous trying to reverse down.

We park our F Pace to one side of our drive on a significant incline so we can access other cars. As a consequence, it stands nose up and with the driver's side front wheel higher than the passenger front. When it hasn't been used it for a week or more, it has to idle for a second or two in gear before torque is transferred from engine to the wheels. That never happens if we park it on a level surface or nose down. I suspect that the transmission fluid drains under gravity and it takes a moment to restore the requisite pressure.
