Hi everyone,

Just thought some praise is deserved as today I took my zed to oxford where i purchased it from. After being told by the garage in basingstoke that the work to be carried out wasn't covered under the warranty and would be £260 to get done, I was skeptical but....

Not only did they cover the work to the brakes that needed doing, (stripping and cleaning to stop an annoying noise) they also fitted some new pads at the cost of just the pads as they were being taken off anyway. I had been told by the other garage that they were very close to needing doing a month ago. So for £65 I got a courtesy 116 for the day, a pretty good clean inside and out of my zed and all of my issues fixed + a saving of a few pounds in labour for the brake pad fitting that would have needed doing within the next month or so anyway.

All in all a very good experience,

Also had our zed in there on Friday. My view is similar to yours. Overall I am the worlds biggest cynic re: main dealers. But the bunch at N.Oxford seem pretty decent e.g did not charge for a Diags check.
 
Ahhhh was yours the grey one with 108's painted quite dark?

I was at the service desk as you drove away if that was you :)
 
Inspection II today nothing found and everything done for much cheaper than my other 4 quotes, though thats partially due to them forgetting to include something in the initial quote (but were still the cheapest). In the end they discounted it down to the original quote anyway. :) Happy again.

Have to agree - as my previous local dealer I always found them enthusiastic. They used to have that bloody awful coloured Z1 on display that Jeremy Clarkson bought years ago for his wife...nice little car but vile colour.

About two months ago, they had my car in pride of place there 8)

(then I walked in and bought it... :D )
