North Coast 500

[Twin Turbo]

Well I completed the north coast 500 in two days, and it's a amazing place. Around every courner was another stunning scene - totally breathtaking

There is a mixture of roads some single carriage way, with passing points to open sweeping roads that just want to be abused.

The first challenge I had was luggage- could not justify with custom bags at £200. Got tape measure and purchased two jeep bags for £30 each and they been great.

I enclose my route - and stages.






If your planning on doing this book hotels or b&b prior as every were was booked up. Glad I books two months ago.

What was the total mileage and driving hours you accumulated for the trip ?

I think it was about 2,000 miles

Day 1: Nottingham to Edinburgh - spent two days there
Day 3: Edinburgh to Innverness
Day 4: Stage 1
Day 5: Stage 2
Day 6: Tain to Glasgow to Cumbria
Day 7: Cumbria to Nottingham

I so love the grandeur of the Scottish highlands.

Must have gone the long way round. I did 1,970 from Sussex there and back with the 500.
