Norfolk Roof Repairer? (Non main dealer)

Having had this beautiful machine for nearly a year now, the inevitable (it seems) happened a couple of months ago, yes the roof no longer works. My local garage has confirmed the issue is the pump/motor. They have never fixed one before but are estimating approx. £900 to sort, they are good but I am just wary of a first time roof fixer. Does anyone know a reliable, reasonable roof fixer in Norfolk please?
Also, I haven't yet lowered it manually for fear of not being able to get it back up, it that a real possibility?

Fed up missing out on all these dry yet cold days!
 
Can't help you in your area but I wouldn't let a garage who had never done the work before do it. As for their estimation it is OTT. You should be able to get it done for about £650. Suggest you ring a few local Indy's in your area.
Pump and housing is around £350 from Sopers BMW in Lincoln and fitting has a book time of 4.25 hours.
 
Should be closer to £700 including the motor and VAT. Had mine done at Forrest Motors in Lincoln last October for £700.10
