evening all.. been lurking a few days after deciding i want one of these fine vehicles, decided it must be a 3.0 low mileage fsh clean as possible etc... so found a mint 49000 miler 2003, fits the bill perfectly.. main problem is its in a used car lot at 6999... is this a fair price or does it sound a bit rich for a soon to be 13 year old car, i expect to be keeping it for a long while, will be a 2nd car just for fair weather so mileage will stay low... or with low use would i be better going for a high miler at a more competitive price... appreciate any input from people that know these cars a lot better than me... cheers

Hi and welcome along

Imo always buy on condition and history, I don't know much about prices tbh, I'm sure someone better placed than me will guide you, good luck

Hard to say without spec & pics but its certainly high sided .
Generally they range from £4500/£7500 dependent on miles ,spec, history ,condition ,owners ???
Whilst 49k is lowish for the early cars throw in a bit more ££ & look to 70k on the clock & you are into Si territory (facelift lights + higher BHP)

I think you can do better for £7k.

That car (says 2 owners) I'd be trying to get a min of 10% off sticker price.

Wheels are aftermarket & look "lost" in the arches  spacers would cure that though
Spec is nothing short of flimper , id keep looking if i had £7k to spend on a early 3.0 Z :?

Mr. Wilks, these are OEM wheels, style 125.

You have let us down :poke:

i did think its a bit rich, id rather buy private from the forum but i have a trade in... ive also enquired about the car below, higher miles but more competitively priced... catch tho.. its an auto... while i have no problem in general with autos not sure if its a great idea in a drivers car?

More on the money & heated seats which is a nice option . the sterling grey paint is one of the best colours for Zs , shows the contours & polishes up like a mirror
The auto is not to be discounted , a great box that changes rapid & seamless , worth a try to see if you like it :driving:

I'd keep looking- poor spec, wheels that don't suit the z and very dear. There are lots of cars out there- wait and the one will turn up! Welcome along!

Yes you can find a better zed keep looking. Looking forward to seeing your car when you decide

so this car has become a possibility, he has offered a reasonable trade in price, higher mileage but later car, spec wise not a lot to it but good fsh, nice clean condition, any thoughts.? and thanks again for the input :D

Has xenon so, heated seat and grey roof. Two things, one is wheels which are easy to change. Other for me would be the seats, but these older cars M sport seats are less common.

Looks nice, so if you happy go for it.

one thing i noticed what looks like condensation on 1 of the front lights? is this a common trait and is it easily fixable? again the noob stuff sorry..but how did you know it had xenons and heated seats when not mentioned in the ad, quite like the wheels but yeah 18s would be better, also whats your take on the seats. cheers
