For sale:

One Nokia 6230i snap in adaptor in perfect condition. Would swap for a similar item for a Sony Ericsson phone.

Price for a straight sale? Make me an offer around the £20 mark (postage to UK at my expense)

Part number = 8421697398302

Which SonyEricsson phone do you need an adapter for?

I've got one for my old K800, but it doesn't work my new C902 (adapter is now available), so be careful about just picking up any SonyEricsson adapter.

I'm happy to sell you mine if it's the one you need - but I'll have to wait until tomorrow to confirm the part number.

There's no adaptor available for my phone (K550i) so I was thinking about finding any SonyEricsson adaptor, then buying a new phone to suit. In fact the C902 was one of the phones I wanted to get, but I didn't know there was an adaptor.... Perhaps I should just order the phone + adaptor combo you have!

c902 is a great phone :D

Ive just upgraded to the c905

Have never bothered with snap in adaptors though :?

I'm not sure how much to invest in being able to use a snap in adaptor. It makes sense mostly because it uses up a space that's otherwise redundant. It'll never fit my girlfriend'd iPhone and I don't drive it every day....

I would rather use the space in some sort of clever iPod / Intravee setup.

Still, someone might get use from my 6230 adaptor.

The K550 seems to have the power/connectivity socket in the same place as the C902, so the new adapter might fit it anyway, but £55-£60 is a lot to risk. And even if it does physically fit, it doesn't mean the phone will work with the system in the car.

BTW, the C902 camera picture quality is not very good (even with twice the resolution of the K800), and the LED flash is nowhere near as good as the xenon flash on the old K800i. If I had the choice, I'd swap my C902 for a C905.

The snap-in adapter for the C902 is part number 84212151737.

BTW, the part number for the Nokia 6230 should be 84216973983 - don't know what the extra 2 digits on your part number are, maybe a version/date?

I only use the adapter because I can't charge it up in-car otherwise, and some of my drives with the phone's bluetooth on can see my phone die after a few hours (including calls of course). At least with the K800 adapter you got an antenna extension to give you a better signal, don't know if that's possible on the C902/C905?

I never had a problem with the camera quality on the 902 but never used it at night/low light. camera on the 905 is much better though :)

Probably is, those last 2 digits are preceeded by a dash. It's actually printed: 84.21-6 973 983-02 Underneath "for NOKIA 6230i" it says:

"Hardware 02 21/03/06"
