Noisy / Whining PAS /Steering - 3.0Si Coupe (2008)

Hi,

I've done lots of searches but couldn't find anything...

At low speeds and not all the time, my PAS gets noisy / whine during heavy parking.
Is this a sign of my pump going? The belt or the fluid? :(
Or is it a "feature" of the car/engine?

If it's noisy on full lock, I think that's quite normal - happens on most cars with power steering?
 
Actually thinking about it, it's more like a honking when you are doing a full lock to lock turn. But it's not at the extremes of lock, which I think I would recognise as that's the sound of the return valve I think?
 
Mine makes a slight whir when I'm parking up; but I've never thought anything of it. I guess you have to listen out for it? I couldn't hear it over the radio or that though
