Noisy gearbox

I was showing my nephew the z4 with the roof down while it was parked. As a young kid he wanted to mess about changing gears so I put the clutch in and let him shift gears. I noticed how nosiy and metalic the shifts were. Gearbox has always been smooth so no problems. I suppose you hear more with the roof down and engine off.

I think thats pretty normal, its just you can hear more of it.

In a parking garage, I can definitely hear each shift. Very snug, metallic "clunk". Sounds "solid" to me.

A smooth but brut force feel when running, and yes, very clunky (solid) with the engine off.
