Have noticed on the "M" when taking a particular, fairly fast sweeping bend and going right that I can hear what sounds like a pump working, can't seem to locate where it is coming from. Any ideas what this could be? Haven't noticed it on other occasions.

Possible the pump in the sump sending oil to the other side of the engine under hard cornering?

Semi dry sump set up so on a long sweeping bend, it seems plausible
