Noise during gear change , normal ?

I have been worrying a little about this noise , it's been there since I bought the car but I just assumed it was natural . Can anyone confirm ?

Seems to be when driving slowly in 1st accelerating to around 3.5/4k rpm ,( probably a little further on from where I would normally change up)

As soon as I bump in to 2nd there is a kind of loose sounding chattering noise , kind of muffled , as if somthings not tight .

it does sound kind of natural but it is a noise I would expect to hear maybe in my old exige and accept it because of the nature of the car .

Anyone know what I'm on about ?

Cheers.

Yeah I think I have the same problem when I sit at with the engine at idle. If I depress the clutch the noise goes away. IIRC it is something like loose clutch bearings and is annoying but can be left. I'm sure someone will confirm or deny!

Sorry I should have said , this only happens when I shift to second for about half a second . Like 2 or 3 quick chatter type noises .

imagine what a dump valve sounds like , it's like that but mechanical sounding :| if that makes sense ?
