Noble M12 GTO-3

Anyone tried a Noble M12 GTO-3 (or even GTO-3R)? I have just looked at a few on PH, they are reasonably cheap in terms of £/bhp (£25k). But is it far too hardcore for daily use (worse than Lotus Elise/Exige)? I really like the way you open the cover to see the engine. :) I can insure it for under £550 with £250 excess (12k miles p.a.). It claims 0-62 mph under 4 second!!!

The only thing I don't like is the central console (very boxy).

You'd have to be a complete mentalist to run one as a DD. Be lovely to have one as a second, though.

But for a 25k fun car I'd be going for an Atom all the way.

And may well do so in 2/3 years time! :D

ATOM's really are crap! You can't be anywhere without the worry of it pisching with rain...Ruin's any run you may have planned, Can't go to the ring in it!! Pointless, plus you look like a prize plonker driving it!!

I've driven a an M400, amazing thing, so hardcore and ultimately put me off...Loved but wouldn;t spend 35k on one! So unfinished and max power inside.

I think the GTO-3 and 3R are a little less hardcore than the M400..... with rides akin to an elise. Dampening is supposed to be very very good, it was made in Leicester after all

some horror stories about the engineering that went into them though. Check out the PH forum for Nobles (theres a rebuild thread currently on it) ..... as a weekend toy I'd have one right away tho.

Look for one with the major essential mods already done and you may have a very nice car, with TVR esque reliability.
