No sound from door speaker

Whilst playing around like we do in the garage tonight, i realised that there is no sound in both the door speakers? Is this normal? Thanks

Tweeters are ok and when i say both i mean left and right

Probably haven’t got speakers there unless you have the upgraded system

Standard 6 speaker is footwell, tweeter and behind head

Upgraded add speakers to the doors and rear cubbys

I didn’t realise they were fake until I removed my door cards to do my window mechanism. They’re cheap looking plastic grills, be much better without them.

unfortunately not, hifi system has different loom

Ive been reading i can get signal from tweeters if i wanted to add the door mid ranges.

On my 03 e85 the cabling was already there when I added in door speakers. AFAIK the early zeds were pre-wired for everything up until around Sep 04 ish.

I've added door speakers to both my Zeds that came with the basic speaker system, just splice them into the tweeter cables running through the door and hey presto you've got sound from the doors. Took it from sounding like any speech was coming from my feet to sounding like it was coming from around the cabin. Well worth the upgrade, think it cost me about £30 for speakers each time. If you can get them with the plugs it's easier.

The 2.5i is a late 2003 and was pre-wired on one door (drivers from memory), but I had to splice the passenger door in. 3.0si needed both doors splicing in.

The tweeter cables are in the right side of the door anyway so yep gonna do that!!

did you change the tweeters aaswell? if dso are they 1 inch?

just sold me a door pair he usually has a few and always best prices…

Very easy to fit by splicing in from the tweeters.
