It does work well, once you realize that the cannister of "Goo" needs to be pressurized by the compressor to actually do anything. The mess may be my fault since I realized this after a few seconds of trying to reinflate my tire with cars passing less than 5ft away, doing 80mph. I am too used to the cans that you just affix and let go, then inflate to running pressure.cj10jeeper said:Mr Whippy said:Ah good thread.
Too many options though
Happy to spend £50-£60 on the right parts, but can't decide which are the best ones (may as well maximise my ability to fix a puncture in the worst case)
Does that BMW motability kit have a compressed air tin/can with it, or do the cars that are given this ALSO have a good compressor with them? They seem a good option for just £25, but if I need a compressor too then I'll have to source a good one too.
Any feedback on the best to get from personal experience is probably what I'm after now
Dave
The mobility kit is an all in one moulded holder containing a compressor, can of sealant and airline with gauge. It can be used as a compressor or linked via the can to push goo and air into the tyre in one go. Neat unit Vs separates, however more bulky to store than separate items
Yeah, nothing can be fun next to a road with 80mph traffic on it...
I guess you make sure you release pressure from the parts that make the discharge go away from you... I assume the instructions on them make sense
Either way, good that they work when used. That is the main thing for me. Happy to spend a little more to get a system that BMW have checked time and again on this model (ie, 255/35R18 ++) during approval for the system, and then in practice by owners
Thanks
