No longer looking for a 3.0 Manual Roadster up to 7K ;)

Afternoon all,

I've been on the lookout for a 3.0 roadster for a couple of months now and not really found anything suitable, though I've missed a couple and perhaps been guilty of holding out for my perfect spec so dismissing otherwise good cars. The search is on now in earnest and as well as regularly checking the usual places thought it might be worth dropping a wanted ad to the forum on the off chance someone is thinking of selling something suitable.

Specifications I'm looking for:
Early 3.0 manual
Full history is important
Circa 80,000 miles or less
Any exterior colour except light silver (gunmetal OK)
Black leather interior (might consider red but haven't seen one in the flesh yet and not usually keen on grey plastics in a car)
Heated memory seats
Rear parking sensors
Xenons
Stereo Upgrade would be a nice to have, similarly sports seats... but these seem rare options so desirable but not essential.

My budget is up to 7K, I'd prefer to spend closer to 6K, but equally I could be persuaded to spend a little more for the right car with perfect spec.

So, if anyone is looking to sell something suitable, or point me towards anything that fits the bill, I'd be keen to hear about it :)

Thanks
Ric

You shouldn't have much trouble finding your perfect car Ric. Your list seems sensible ///M seats as you say are desirable and might be hard to find. As i don't think they where even an option on the years your looking at.

I got my car in October 6k with everything on your list ( but silver ) 65k miles and its got sat nav. I don't have the rear parking sensors. And i wouldn't be put off by a car without them. Your sat a long way back in these things.

Cheers,

I'm not too bothered about parking sensors either to be honest, but the missus has history or reversing "incidents"!

Sounds like you got yours for a good price, hopefully I can be as fortunate. I'm not in a rush to buy, we're planning a Euro road trip end August which is the main reason for the purchase, but I'd certainly feel more comfortable with opportunity to iron out any faults before we head off.

I gave £6.5k for mine a year ago. If I was selling today I wouldn't expect any more than £6k and it only has 48k miles on. Your budget will get you a really nice example just be patient and wait for the right one to come along.

Hi

Mines for sale via the forum here's a link http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=49758

Doesn't have everything on your wish list but thought it's worth giving you a headsup !

Cheers

Thanks Chester, and to the other member who sent me a PM with details of their car... appreciate you both getting in touch.

There's a dealer close-ish with a red interior car so I'm going to have a mooch down over the weekend to see if it's something I could get on with.

I will be selling mine as of the 1st May.

I don't have any pictures or anything yet but it's the gunmetal grey colour. Black roof and black leather interior.

Its the SE trim which means it has electric memory seats, auto dimming mirror, and auto headlights.

In addition it also has cruise control. iPod connectivity and the auto remote roof (and one touch).

It's just had an MOT. And in may I will be giving it a full service, with new pads all round, it's just had two new rear ryres. And a 4 wheel alignment/geo check. So you wouldnt have to do anything on the car!

Thanks Moffmo, I'm afraid I've purchased a Z, I'll update the thread title... I went to view one with a red interior (to see if I could get on with grey trim) and it turned out to have black trim, looked awesome and price was good so a deal was done.

Thanks to everyone who got in touch, good luck with your respective sales
