Hi Guy's

As I had to take my car back a couple of times, one for a new wheel and the other the boot lid switch. I asked the dealer about getting some money of my next service which is due in October, which will be it's first. He took my key-fob away to see what would need doing before giving me a price and to my surprise he came back and said I had a five year service contract included, well, I didn't know that when I brought the car and the sales guy didn't mention it :D
Anyway, with the money I'm going to save I thought I might treat myself to some black kidney grills, black lower vents and those nice illuminated door seals. What do you guy's think on a white car? Cost is just over £500 fitted.

I'd like the illuminated door entry sills. Are they hard to do? Have you had them done already?

Not done yet but will most probably. Just been searching around on the web and it would appear that its quite easy to do yourself. Apparently if you buy the kit from BMW you get the instructions as well. As in my previous post, the garage will charge me £100 to fit all the parts including the Kidney grills, upper and lower so as I'm quite lazy, and usually end up messing something up I will most probably get them to do it for me at that price. All the parts from BMW including the grills are £421.66 including VAT

The part No's (Illuminated seals only) if your interested are:-
B61.13.8.364.568
B51.47.0.149.210
B35.41.1.113.728

The above numbers are from the BMW parts department at my local garage.

you can check here to see for yourself as well http://www.realoem.com

Also, http://e89.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=344469&highlight=Illuminated for a bit of advice on fitting yourself

I hope this helps?
