Does the car park have cctv?
That sucks.
My wife’s car got hit by a minibus while it was parked outside our house. Council owned.
We pursued it with the insurance company but the 3rd party denied it. Luckily our neighbour had cctv and got it all recorded.
As soon as we said we had it on a usb stick and will be sending them the evidence they immediately confessed and it got settled.

If you haven't already, it would be good to do something nice for the lady who cared enough to help the victim. It's not required, I'm sure, but it's such a wonderful thing that she's a person of character. If it were in the states, I'd be sending a gift card for dinner or such.

Some don't appreciate how much the rear overhang from rear wheels swings out in turns.
I reckon the corner of van swung out and nudged the car.
