Nice Moment Out Today

Went out in the Z4 today — roof up this time, but freshly cleaned and sparkling. Pulled up at some lights and saw an older gent and his wife admiring it. Always nice to see people who still appreciate proper cars and don’t just want something new for the sake of it.

What’s the best time you’ve had in your Z?
 
I had a similar time a few months back. Early Sunday morning, roof down (Z4MR), I caught up with a 135i coupe, we had a little fun off some roundabouts and parted company with waves, nods and smiles from myself, other driver and his missus next to him.

Also yesterday I was followed into Sainsbury’s by a Evo 6 Tommy Mak edition. We parked in different areas of the car park. By the time I got to the store entrance (Evo was parked very close to entrance) I saw a young lad taking a pic of it. It made me happy that at least some youngsters know that decent cars exist despite all the modern copycat stuff around (I was driving an i4 which is not worth a second look, ha).
 
I used to love it when random young lads would simply say "Nice car Mr" as they walked past. Happened a number of times in the ///MR. :)
 
Had a lad do that years back in my 2.8i Capri. Then he paused, turned back and said "What is it?"
Ego expanded and deflated in two short sentences. :rofl:

Should have bought the JPS. Everyone knows what that is. :cool: The 2.8i was the better car though. :thumbsup:
 
It’s great to see how many people still appreciate these cars and the smiles they bring — whether it’s a nod, a wave, or just someone stopping to take a look. The Z4 definitely still turns heads.
 
I often get nice comments from folk when I'm out and about in both the 370Z and the Caterham as well. "Nice car" "Nice colour" etc. The Caterham brings a lot of thumbs up and waves from folk too, and I call it the happy car, because it seems to make everyone happy.
 
I did get "You're driving your Dad's car" when it was actually mine once in the Cerbera though from 2 lads. The cheeky gits! 😂

My MR doesn't get much attention at all, the 2002 however... shame it's from old men in petrol stations!
