So as luck would have it I got to take the i8 home last weekend.

Very comfortable and very easy to drive, got a crazy amount of attention!

I think they look great, but the idea of a 3 cylinder turbo is a real let-down (regardless of the electrical gubbins)! :(

Stick at least a V8 in it like the looks deserve FFS!

Had a go in one of these recently. I have to say they are not for me even at half the money they are asking. There are much better places to put that sort of money car wise. After trying one I can see why they are struggling to sell them, offering big discounts and the residuals are crap.

Yes that is the car!

I sort of get it, I don't think it's a drivers car or an enthusiasts car. It's easy to drive fast, easy to live with and it comes with a certain amount of status.

I would love one, and the pcp offer for quater 4 is very strong (as it needs to be).

I found it much more civilised than the m2, which is driver focused, great fun and next to the i8 cheap at 1/2 the price!

I know they are arguably aimed at different people, but for the money I could not see past a 911.

Porsche owns the 75-100k part of the market and it would be so difficult to choose anything else IMO.

You have to use the BBCode option when sharing on Flikr:

I wouldn't say all that at work! :poke:

Its a bit of a strange one the i8, for me its neither one thing nor another. For example you say its easy to live with, which I agree with, it is once your in it, but if that was the aim why make it such a bitch to get in and out of. In that sense its styled like a very focused hypercar, not ideal for the Sainsbury's car park. I wouldn't think twice about using any of the 911's or Jag F type etc as everyday transport, taking it and parking it where ever. But the i8 doesn't feel practical like that, more like a weekend car in the vein of a Ferrari or Lambo but no where near as much fun.
