Nice drive, and nice beach!?

Hey everyone. I need some recommendations please.....

I need to get away and get some sunshine, and as I love driving the Zed, I would like drive somewhere sunny with a nice sandy beach. I was thinking maybe France or Spain, but as I've never been, I was hoping I could get some recommendations? I just want to go somewhere relaxing where I can lie on the beach and do very little else!

I'm sure all you knowledgeable bunch can help!

South of France if you want beaches and an is probably your best bet in a week. Either that or go a bit further to northern Italy? Lake Garda maybe?

Your Z4 will feel perfectly at home in Biarritz. Decent beach. There are the Pyrenees for views and curiously bendy roads.

Great, thanks I'll take a look at that. Strange you should mention co-pilot, all my mates are being boring, so yes I am! Problem is we would probably fight over who is going to do the driving..... :rofl:
 
La Rochelle area on the west coast is very nice, maybe not as hot as the South but certainly much closer. It's around 7 hour drive from Calais.
 
Almeria, good weather, good beaches, relaxed atmosphere, quiet..... oh and did I mention it's got an awesome race track so you can get a track day in while you are there :thumbsup:

La Rochelle is lovely.... you could always take the ferry to Caen or St. Malo which would be much closer than Calais :)
 
Thanks everyone, I like the idea of La Rochelle as it's somewhat closer. Any recommendations for nice laid back beaches / places to stay in La Rochelle?

And you can get the ferry to Santander if you prefer.
