newbie with z4 looking for diagnostic plug

Hi folks

Im new here and also just bought a BMW Z4 convertible two wks ago. (second hand :()
I do the od repair on my cars and have a diagnostic which is a 18pin one. Plugged into my Audi TT no probs when I replaced ignition coil and rest comp. Where on earth is the plug for the BMW Z4 pls I suspect I may need adaptor.
I have a 2litre z4 07 plate
Alreay found this site fab after looking for info on wind deflectors. I bought one off ebay for £75 and simply fitted myself Nice wee saving there hee hee
 
The ODB-II plug is located (on left hand drive cars) just to the left and below the steering wheel, under the dash. It has a hinged cover over it...
On RHD cars, it is probably a mirror to the LHD cars.

To update I have checked again and found it only i dared pull at it to expose the 16pin and not the eh other one
