Newbie with a 135i looking to make the jump to a Z4 - UPDATE Now in a Z4

So finally making the jump :) Zeds an older car but you won't be disappointed! Wife preferred the ride of e46... but me, Zeds 'like a glovee'

When I can I try buy first, like with the e46. Then I can take my time selling. Gives you a bit of flexibility, provided you've got that kind of cash around! Oh and parking!

The 135i has gone I made the fatal mistake of one last drive, almost thought about keeping here!

SO now the Z4 hunt is on. Hopefully looking to get some viewings together soon.

Sounds like a mixture of good news and a hint of regret!

I did that last year when I was thinking about selling my first E86 - someone on here was looking for one and came to see mine. Then I used it for a last drive the next day and he called me that evening to put a deposit on it - I couldn't let him down, but as I had just been reminded of what I would be missing I went out 2 days later and found my next one! Won't do that again. :headbang:

Anyway, I hope you find a Z4 you like soon - and don't forget we need some photos once you have one (if not before)!

So I have one! Well I have had it for a few weeks now.

Loving it to bits, there is certainly a real sense of occasion driving the Z4 compared to the 135i. Being lower, closer to the rear axle, less noise insulation all adds to the driving experience.

Discs and pads done all around using Pagid OEM parts, the discs are factory treated to prevent rusty hubs for the OCD in me. Inspection 1 carried out by my local specialist Power Developments. All ready for the Euro road trip!

Congratulations OP!

Glad you are enjoying it - Euro road trip should be fantastic.

Can't seem to see the photos though. :?

That's a looker you have found. 8) Love the seats that colour and those wheels. How is your GF finding driving it. My Mrs finds the zed a bit tricky on the country lanes.

Very nice facelift!
I love the drive, let us know how the road trip goes!

She is managing fairly well, she found the long bonnet intimidating at first. The seat height is right up to the stops  very thankful for the memory function....

Yup it's that lovely long bonnet that makes it a little tricky. I took my Zed up the Hill climb course Prior to the Pentily FoS in 2012. There is one LH hair pin with a granite stone wall on the in side. I must have mist the apex by about two feet due to that bonnet, you just have no idea where that corner of the car is some times. :driving:
