hi i have recently bought a 2003 z4 3.0 and i am loving it. however i am not a huge fan of the 17 inch wheels that are on it. i am looking to buy some 18 inch alloys for it but would like some help choosing the best size to get with regards to Wheel Width and wheel offsets as i really am clueless about which sizes will be right. thanks

Welcome to the forum , maybe post up in the newbie section with some pics & intro :)
RE your wheel dilemma /
Look for 5 x 120 bolt pattern & Ideally offset between 30 & 50 ( indicated by a number as ET?? )
Most genuine 18 inch BMW sets for the Z4 will be " staggered " which mean's the rear wheels are wider than front & perfectly normal on many BMW cars .
They will be 8j & 8.5j or 8j & 9j or similar & these numbers are the rim widths
The tyre sizes for these would normally be 225 40 18 front / 255 35 18 rears to keep the rolling diameters the same .

I have a few different sets of 18inch fully refurbed & may take your 17's in PX ?
Or go for one of the many different sets of replica wheelsets available off the web , no real nightmare stories heard on here from them but some prefer to stick with factory spec sets

thanks for the reply's guys i found that information very helpful mr wilks. Need to have a good think now and decide what i want. I plan on keeping the alloys i have on it for spares so wont be interested in px but thanks for the offer.
i will be sure to post some pics in the newbie section soon.
