I have had my 2004 Sterling grey Z4 3.0 for 4 years this year and have covered some 47,000 miles in her (generally at warp speed 9 on the M4) and have loved every single minute of it.
After much recent thought I have decided to keep her and give her a little nip and tuck.
I am actively searching for a set of M style 224's and after much confrontation with my local dealer I have decided to refuse to pay the £1500.00 they need, does anybody know where I could source either the original or an imitation of the 224's? I have searched high and low on Google to no avail!
Also my Z4 is really pulling to the left, I had new tyres fitted (non run flat) and since then it has been impossible to drive, I have been back to the garage for a full alignment balance etc, but there was nothing wrong - I have experienced the issue of broken springs and they were replaced by BMW and thought they could have broken again, but it would appear they hadn't. Anyone else experiencing similar issues?
I am also having an issue with my folding roof - The action is fine but once the roof is down the red light keeps flashing at me, I took it to the dealer who reported there was nothing wrong and at the same time did some minor adjustments and cleared the drain holes etc, I am obviously a little concerned by this as although this is hardly roof down weather, I just don't want to be lumped with a massive repair bill if it does go wrong in the summer - Anyway I can do a diagnostic check etc?
