Hi everyone,

I've joined the forum with a view to buying a Z4 3 litre manual gearbox car, Convertible or Coupe and the whole ownership experience. I've had a selection of sportscars, hot hatches and more humdrum stuff over the years, including a Z3 2.8 and a Lotus Elise.

Looking forward to the experience.

Will I be able to PM sellers after a certain number of posts or quicker?

Cheers

Hello and welcome to the forum from another ex Elise owner - still regret the day that went.

You can now PM member's - requires 3 posts.

Good luck with the search

Thanks for the welcome.

Me too, it was a classic Mk1 Lotus Racing Green paint, Magnolia leather, probably couldn't get into it now though! :D

Mine was a series 2 in blue with cream leather and the same - be a competition between my back going or my knee caving in these days

So true. If I did manage to get in I'd need assistance getting back out (it wasn't easy back in the day) and a trip to a chiropractor afterwards.

Hi and welcome aboard.

You'll definitely notice the difference in torque in a 3 litre!

Hi Bob how much have you got to spend for a Decent zd with 69000.on clock.3.oltr Manual.Saphire black.
I could go to the top of my budget (£5000), depending on condition, options, service history. Can you send me some more details, photos and location?

Hi Bob appreciate your budget is 5k, I wouldn't let mine go for that,as Car is worth more,a couple of pictures for you.

I've now bought an E85 3.0 Titanium Silver manual with hardtop and am really enjoying it.

Could someone tell me what the parts numbers are for these black screws and clasps/grommits as I cannot find them on realoem and they seem to let in a small amount of dampness so I'm keen to replace them with new or anything that's missing. Maybe I need new fittings or are there some washers or seals missing that go under them? Thanks for any ideas.

Thanks colb. Would the parts be 7 and 8 on the diagram? I can't see the part of my car on the diagram, it's a little panel that sits above the taillights on both sides of the car.

Certainly looks like 7 and 8 to me are the ones your after and the only ones shown for that particular parts diagram.
