Hi All,
Finally got time to take some photos of my new toy.
Kept on seeing a black Z4 on way to work most mornings, and it sort of grew on me. I researched prices for used Z4s, as I was always under the impression they were prohibitively expensive, and was more than pleasantly surprised at used values. Found a standard 2.0 Sport at the right price, in immac condition FSH < 30K, and absolutely love her, not a rocket ship - (but fast enough to loose your license) I am a little concerned that she tries to kill me every time I drive her, ( the roads round here ( Rutland) are not autobahn smooth), although from what I understand, a change from the Run Flats should help that. Falkens or Eagles ??
Already changed to Philips Extreme bulbs, although lights still seem weak, the elliptical ? lenses inside the headlamp look a little fogged, and there is no way I can see to clean them,I have Xenons on my Vrs, and although I do not expect the same brilliance, they are not as good as I would have expected.
Got the top down the past couple of days, really easy with the auto roof and heated leather seats. - used to have an MG TF ( not a good experience ) !.
Looking to install a Parrot Mki9200 shortly ( I like the remote control compared to the cc9060 music in the Vrs) and of course do something with the Tyres.
Thanks for a very informative forum, and look forward to contributing where I feel I am able to in the future.
Regards

Hi, yours is the same as mine, only had it since Nov and yes the Run Flats are a concern. Sticking with mine for the time being though. Welcome and enjoy.

Hi and welcome. Know what you mean about the roads around your area but ditching the runflats will transform the car completely. Don't wait for them to wear out either, change them now and sell the runflats here or on ebay. There are always people wanting to buy them.

Sensible advice from Colin. I did exactly that when I bought my zed. Took about 3 weeks to sell the runflats, but well worth it. Car was transformed

So, on the non- run flats, I am looking at Goodyear F1s, Falkens452s, or the guy at the tyre co. also recommends Uniroyal Rainsport 2s. Any thoughts ?
Thanks

Falken 452s and Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta are forum member favourites.

I have Avon ZZ5, which replace the ZZ3s as Avon's performance tyre. No complaints, very good grip in dry and wet.

Next time I'm changing tyres I'll shift to Vreds, they have a fantastic tread pattern, and I'm a sucker for a good looking tyre

I've got Vreds and would certainly recommend them, however, I think the best deal at the moment are Falkens fitted at home by the AA - circa £486.
