Hi guys,

I just picked up a grey 06 3.0 si roadster a few days ago. Most fun car I've ever driven.... I tested an 04 3 litre, but it just didn't have the fun factor of the 06.

Only complaints are the tyres (tires for you US peoples) seem to tramline and pull the car around the road and the rain sensor doesn't turn the wipers on by itself.

Planned mods are replacing the OEM head unit with an Alpine touchscreen for ipod, sat nav and front camera (so I don't grind the front when parking), a decent set of tyres and a clear (perspex?) wind deflector.

Unfortunately I can't find much in the way of aftermarket mods/accessories in Aus, so I'm going to be importing stuff :(

Zeddy.

In what way ?

Do you have the M.Sport suspension only looks a little high ?

Nice colour choice

Just the standard suspension AFAIK......

I really noticed the difference with the engine power with the 04 vs 06. The 04 was too similar to the car I already had, whereas the 06 was zippier. 27w missing from the 04 made quite a difference IMO. I would have liked an M, but unfortunately the budget didn't stretch that far :(

Just gotta learn to park... Stupid low front just caught me out at work.....Poor Zeddy.

Welcome.

Getting used to the length of the front end will hopefully come in time. A few days after getting mine, I parked it up where there's a low wooden rail, I thought I'd probably left far too much room at the front and almost pulled forward a bit more, I went with caution though and left it where it was. I walked past the front of the car to find around 1-2 inches of space between the bumper and rail, very close call.

What was you driving before ?

The power was a big step up for me after my old 2.0 8v Calibra :D

OK with the low front end as my old Calibra was low at the front so used to being carefull.

Where you from in OZ been to Cairns a few years back had a great time especially Diving on the Reef.

I was driving a 2.6l v6 Vectra (Holden/Opel depending on which country you're in)

Its a very lightweight car, but unfortunately was front wheel drive and had huge problems getting the power to the road. It would understeer and the front end dives down in corners. Very zippy car, especially in sport mode, but it just couldn't handle my driving any more
