Hi all, been lurking for a little while so I could read the buyers guide etc.

Took the plunge on Saturday and bought myself a 2003 Z4 3.0l fully loaded with sat nav, xenons, electric memory seats etc etc. Wanted to buy a 2004 onwards one but this one was in very good condition has low mileage and had its roof motor replaced by BMW last year, got it booked in for inspection 2 and a full car check with BMW on Thursday but it runs a treat and does have full service history up until 2 years ago where it has pretty much sat as its only done 1.5k miles in the last 2 years.

All seems to be working well and got it for a very good price so cant complain, been using dash command to check that everything is working (mainly the coolant system and fans) and all seems good.

Having gone from a 2007 RX8 231 everything seems so much more reasonable ie fuel and tax. Very different cars, I must say the Z4 is a lot more twitchy that the 8 but I guess that's mostly down to the run flats on it.

I have a cable and NCS Expert coming for it so that I can program a few things like comfort opening and closure, I should be fine with this as I work in IT but does anyone know if the 2003 one is actually capable of this?

Don't have any good pics at the moment but here is a rubbish phone pic I took quickly yesterday:

Adamski - Yes but I miss 9000 rpm redline beeps.

Wyldie85 - Not that far from you actually, Woking sort of area.

Thanks guys, needs a little clean up in areas but pretty solid car all the same.

A couple of us live around Woking

Don't suppose you have ever used NCS Expert before have you?

Looks simple enough just wondering if there is anything I need to watch out for, read the guides etc and have ample IT knowledge so should be fine.

Erm.. not personally, had a forum member up north do my codes for me.

Seemed pretty straight forwards.

Also have ample IT knowledge :)

Well when I have it all up and running and have got familiar with it if you need anything doing in the future let me know as your just round the corner from me.

Ah yes, I can see in your profile now.

Well I work in Knaphill so again, not a million miles away.

Will keep my eyes peeled!
