Newbie from South Wales

Hi Guys - Been lurking on here for a couple of months after purchasing a 2003 (53) Z4 3.0i Roadster back in April as a weekend car so thought it was way overdue that I said hello! I'm based just outside of Newport, South Wales and have really enjoyed owning the car for the last couple of months. Its my first BMW and I've been impressed how much it still feels like a new car even though its covered 90k miles and is 13 years old. The forum has been a great source of knowledge and even saved me a load of money when the metal clip on the roof motor micro-switch came loose which I was able to reattach using one of the guides on here.

Purchased the car from a fellow Z4 forum member and its got a pretty good spec including Digital TV, Updated Sat Nav, Gaptech Remote, Stubby Aerial, ZHP Gear Knob and Cruise Control.

I haven't really made any changes yet apart from upgrading the interior lighting with LEDs using a kit from Horizon LED's.

I took it in to Forza GB (Indy Specialist) in Caldicot last week for new brakes all round and got chatting to the owner Stuart who is a Master BMW technician. He's agreed to offer 15% discount on Labour rates for anyone who quotes the Z4 Forum so if your close to South Wales I would highly recommend their services. Hi and welcome.

That does look a nice example. It seems as though nearly all of the Zeds are either in the South West or in Scotland, so you'll have no shortage of playmates!

Welcome along. I'm from Newport and I'm down that way from Cambridge time to time. Il look out for you as I go to a friends in caldicott.
