wow, carnt belive all the stuff thats going on here, loads to read and loads to do, well after the wife told me to get rid of the bike i thought i best have something that will still give me a buzz, i have just bought a 08 Z4 2.0i sport manual, space grey, 33k on the clock, full BMWSH, pick her up on sat, paid £8500, she is in mint condition, sat nav and got the one without split rims as i belive these have problems? the guy has a BMW warranty on it, is this worth buying off him and transfering to my name ? he says he can cash it in if i dont want it? anything i need to seroiusly look at when picking her up ? carnt wait to meet up with a few others in the summer near me,

Hi Charmlea,

I've got an 06 2.0 litre sport and I love it - it's great fun in the twisties and - like you - our car replaced the fun of bikes. My mate told me that I should get a drop top sportscar and that I'd enjoy it and he was right - at first we had an MX5 - great fun - then a TVR Chimeara - wonderful but impractical on the road so we quickly got the Zed and it has been brilliant. It has the presence and good looks of the TVR and the fun factor of the MX - I even think it sounds good when revved out - use 2nd and 3rd and don't be afraid to use the revs (like a bike it loves to rev) - its smooth and strong - mine takes it all and comes back for more every day - a wonderful engine. You'll have to get used to it though as it has a firm ride and tends to follow the ruts and imperfections on the road - moving off runflats help. Read the FAQ section and there's lots of information.

If you loved your bikes you'll love the Zed - welcome to the forum!

Can't help with the warranty question but someone will advise.

:driving:

Hi charmlea welcome, Autoglym roof cleaner and protector works well for me. There really is no choice you should go for an O.E.M. Wind deflector. Look st your headrests, if they already have a hard plastic strip screwed to the roll bar hoops then should be just a case of buying one. If not then you will need the fitting kit as well.
