Newark convoy for zed fest

Anybody fancy meeting up at the Friendly Farmer on the A17 roundabout at Newark to drive to the meet on the Sunday morning?
 
Would have, but not going this year - gutted that I'm missing the meet, looks a good one :thumbsup:
 
I'm driving down Sunday morning from Huddersfield so if I come the A1 this is pretty much on the way... Will put a post up to see if anyone else is coming the same way as me...

Wouldn't you be better off coming down the M1 and getting off at junction 24?
Don't mind if you do come A1, always nice to have a convoy!
 
Me and the missus are staying in Lincoln for 3 nights and are coming to the Zedfest on Sunday.

I have not picked the route yet, tend to pick quieter country lanes (more fun :D ).

Was going to set off from City Centre about 8:30am, should give way more time to get there think its only about 55 miles.

I have an open mind if anybody wants to meet up along the way.
 
Have you picked a route?
Not that many indirect country lane routes, fastest being A46, A52, A453 then A6.
But if you prefer back lanes the A612 from Newark through Southwell and rejoining the A46 after Gunthorpe is a nice road and then stay on the A46 and cut across country through Widmerpool, Costock and Zouch to Hathern.
If you fancy meeting on route we could meet at Sopers BMW, it's only a 100 yes off the A46 on your route.

Not sure which way my sat have will take me from Lincoln. I checked last night and it says 52 miles on A roads about 1 1/4 hours. Will be setting off about 08:45 is so may bump in to you along the way..............
 
I'm heading down the A46 from Newark, so we might catch up on the later part of the trip - keep your eye out for the blue coupe! :D
