Where abouts in Essex are you, I'm in Brentwood?

I haven't been for a blat around Wales for a long time now, 'fraid my visits there now are generally of the alcoholic consumption nature. Beautiful part of the world though when you get out in them Welsh hills.

Funnily enough I'm also in Brentwood! Do you know of any local car meets? Always interested in some weekend car banter!

I'm just outside it in Doddinghurst, although I have an office at Wilsons Corner.

Can't get out as easily for a cruise as I have 3 kids, but bought this car to ensure that the miles I do are pure smiles only (albeit with the odd frown at the amount of pot holes around).

Hope to see you about then mate, maybe go for a ride out on Sat or Sunday somewhere.

And you are bloody right about the potholes... its pretty shambolic in some places. The age old "where does my road tax go" question springs to mind.

Do you know any good driving roads around here? I have been for a drive every now and then but not really been able to find anything quiet or open enough. It seems to be either main roads or 1 track lanes (filled with potholes), Not so many empty sweeping B roads like in Wales....

I hate pot holes with 10 passions. What with the M being lowered and a stiffer suspension, when a pot hole catches you out it shakes you through to your bones.

There are some lovely roads when you get out behind Brentwood, you just need to get out and explore, but you do need a little luck with the Sunday drivers and numerous tractors. I love the little twisty roads, but what with the bright & rainy weather, the foliage is overgrowing and impossible to see through the bends. I tend to keep it in a low ish gear and just play/experiment with the torque.

Probably not too many routes in general that can match the might of Wales I' guess, especially in the home counties.

Will have to make it a mission to find what we can eh and maybe keep eyes out for an Essex meet. Someone should know some good routes.

In the meantime, I'll keep an eye out for ya and I'll drop you a PM about meeting up at some point. Be cool to get some pics of our cars together somewhere nice.

I drove home to wales again this weekend, I do miss the roads around there. It seems that as soon as you leave the M25 and get onto the normal roads around here, they just seem to fall apart... Horrendous.

I will have to have a little search one evening or weekend for some roads around here.
