New Z4M Roadster in Shropshire!

Found this forum and thought it was about time I said hi!

Just bought a '07 Sepang Bronze M Roadster to replace my Golf GTI, came over all unnecessary and went and bought it there and then as soon as I came back from the test drive :o

Such a lot of fun, and the engine is bonkers! I thought I better put up a few pictures of it on the Longmnyd near where I live, being lucky enough to have countryside like this on my doorstep is the reason I decided to go with the roadster option rather than the coupe.

Don't worry, the stubby is already on it's way thanks to this forum!

I've already got some really good information from here, like finding out about Autotech in Telford who was really helpful when I spoke to him the other day, and I have a feeling I will be sending the car to him for servicing rather than the dealer...

I'm also looking to replace the standard 6 speaker system with something a little more musical, so I might be asking for people's opinions on what I've got in mind.

I've also got a proper BMW :D , a 1989 E30 325i which I bought from eBay 4 years ago for £500. It's been brilliant fun and is by far and away the best £500 i've spent (that said i've spend considerably more on uprating things...), and between the two cars there seems to be a lot of fuel going somewhere

I'll look out for any meets in the Shropshire / Midlands area and hopefully catch up with some other owners in the near future. As an aside I'm also a senior observer with the IAM so if anyone wants to know anything about an advanced driving course I'd be happy to give you any information.

Hi and welcome, not many sepang bronze on here truely rare. Have to agree with you on the E30, best Older BMW you can get :D

what colour combo interior, is it saddles (sorry that'd what i think it called.

pictures would be nice of the interior.

Sepang is the grown up colour for the Z4M///

Good choice, gone for the manly roof option and a decent rare and interesting colour :D

I'd love to have a go in an M one some time, but alas, doubt I'll get the chance to own one for a good while yet... enjoy it for me!

don't do it!

it will depress you just how different the handling is compared to the plain vanilla one!

forget about the engine etc..... just the steering feel is such a difference!

Thanks for the comments!

I was a bit curious about the colour when I first saw it on the BMW website, but once I saw it in the metal I really liked it. Seems to be distinctive without being too shouty. It also changes shade a lot with the light, it's a bit difficult to photograph, especially as they were taken with my iPhone.

The interior is the normal black with brushed silver trim. I saw a picture on the internet of one with the light sepang seats but I wasn't so keen.

I found on another website the production information for the America cars, is there anything similar for the UK cars? I'd be curious to know how many Sepang Z4s are about in the UK.

Stunning colour and welcome to club, This is defeinelty one of my favourite colours for the Z4, I test drove the 2.5i thought nice and then tried the M straight after and acted like some silly schoolgirl - they do seem to have that effect. Trust me you will do plenty of smiling - especially with the roof down driving around the stunning area you live in.

I did largely the same thing, I test drove a 2.5si back towards the end of June and it was really nice but I felt I needed more power, so I asked the local dealer (Shrewsbury) to look of a 3.0si for me. However the complete lack of interest or concept of customer service from them meant I looked for a car myself and decided to go the whole hog and get the M car from Knights in Stafford, who were far better than Shrewsbury. Love the different sounds the engine makes, especially the way the exhaust note develops from the deep sound and starts into the metallic M sound between 2k - 3k rpm when you're around town :) .
