New Z4 Owner

Hey Everyone,

Thought it was about time I introduced myself properly.

I picked up my Z4 a few weeks ago now from another forum member. The car is a 2003 3L 6-spd manual, and has a lot of nice extras including red leather heated/electric seats, 10 speaker premium stereo system, Ellipsoid Style 107 18" alloy wheels, retro fitted cruise control.... It's done just 64K miles since new, and has been a pampered weekend toy for it's previous owners.

I noticed my friend Tim aka Sideexit from the Supra community, has posted up his welcome thread as well. I am another former Supra owner, and have been involved with tuning/racing Japanese performance cars for a fair few years. Fortunately I saw the light, and bought myself a real car!! Lol.

For any of you that read Performance BMW magazine, I am going to be writing an 'Our Cars' column for them from the next issue. I'll be looking to do a few modifications to my car over the next few years, so will be using this forum a lot I imagine!! :)

Here are a few pictures of my new pride and joy, as well as a couple of my last Supra:

And the Supra:

Thanks for looking.

Peter :)

Looks a really 'clean machine'!...and maybe more mature than the Supra though I'd like to have that S for the day!

By the way...whats this?

Thanks.

That is part of a Harmon Kardon iPod system! :?

Quite why they chose to fit it right where my knee goes is anyones guess!

Will be removing it at some point, as I don't use an iPod anymore.

Will also replace the screen on the dash with a Parrott hands free phone kit.

Thanks guys.

I'm hoping to get my tuner involved in producing some performance parts for the Z4. He already sells a load of Supra items which have been well received.

He's already offered me a couple of exhaust options (one being Stainless, the other being Titanium!).

Will keep everyone posted via the forum and also via Performance BMW magazine.

Happy to take some suggestions on modifications from anyone? Got a few ideas at the moment:

gapTech roof module, alloys re-finished in black shadow chrome, supercharger or maybe a small turbo kit (my tuner in Enfield would help make this), facelift rear lights, new 3rd brake light for the boot (sticking with red as opposed to clear, think it looks better on black), clear side indicators, carbon badges, K sport coliover suspension..........

Had to buy 12 months road tax this month, so only managed to get a Richbrook tax disc holder and some new black mats.

Thanks again for the kind welcome. :)

Hello Peter,
Great to see the car again, it looks great :D

I would love to see it with a supercharger :) that would be a bit of a beast. I think a LSD off an M car would help too.
