New Z4 owner Leeds

Hi picked up my E89 Z4 28i yesterday, up grade from a Z3 2.2.
Good clean and polish this week, needs a small smart repair to the rear bumper then I can enjoy.
Heading up to Scotland for a few days of driving in a couple of weeks.

First stumbling block trying to get my phone to connect, it’s not having it……

Welcome to the mad house. No idea how to connect the phone to an E89. Best thing is to post up some pictures of your shiny Z4 in the meantime. :wink:

To connect via Bluetooth, simply pair to the car.

My phone detected the car as a devise and auto named it BMW 23481. hit the cog next to it and hit pair.

Did not know if it had worked until the damn thing rang in the car, nearly gave me a heart attack (Volume was on very very load)

Oh ! and we like photo's.

Is the car seeing your phone or phone seeing car in Bluetooth?

Neither are picking each other up, my phone is picking anything and everything bar my car.

I’m wondering if either Bluetooth isn’t working on the car or the phone connectivity wasn’t speced when it was ordered.
Have you tried doing a VIN check on one of the available websites to see what it came with?
