Hello!

As the subject says, I'm 5 days into Z4 M ownership. I have a black 06 roadster with red leather. I've come from a TVR T350 and find the M very similar but I don't feel like I'm seconds from death when I push the loud pedal.

So far completed 900 miles in less than a week! :driving:

I only have pictures that the dealer took and they are pretty bad quality. As soon as i've cleaned her and it stops bloody raining I'll post some up! :D

Nice choice mate. I got the same combo. Its great looking and driving car. u will enjoy. I love TVRs too. Even thought ihavent owned one driven in a few.U r right about death pedal. Get some pics on quickly

I'll defo take some pics of the Z this weekend after I've given her a good scrub.

Here's one of the old Tiv. Yes, I do miss the noise but as soon as I fit a Supersprint to this one I'll be happy again!

Congratulations and welcome :D

Love the looks of the T350 8) and seriously considered buying one. Would love to hear how you think the two compare..........

the Z4M reminds me a lot of the TVR. On the road the TVR feels faster in a straight line but the power delivery is very similar, probably because they are both hefty straight 6's. I only have limited experience (5 days and all wet) with the Z4 so can't compare the handling in much detail but I'm pretty sure that the average driver can drive from point to point faster in the BMW, an experienced track driver would be a different matter. To say the least the T350 can be a handful. In the wet it's positively lethal!

The TVR was also my daily driver and living with it wasn't easy. You have to warm the engine to above 60 degrees before putting your foot down even slightly and on a cold day that could take up to 15 minutes. Servicing was every 6000 miles and can cost around £1000 a time. The standard spider alloys are made of warm butter and all 4 buckled in the space of 1 year which is why I replaced them with the ones you see in the photo. You should remember that spare parts are becoming harder to find so if something out of the ordinary goes bang, expect to pay a hefty premium. Fuel costs... a bit worse than the BMW. After saying all that, if you get the right weather and the right road then very few cars will come close to the excitement of a TVR. I also drive a DB9 on a regular basis but when the roads were dry I'd take the T350 instead. :driving:
