Hi All

I've just taken delivery of a 2005 Z4 3.0i se. In black, manual, FSH, 19" wheels and sports seats (upgrade I think). Drives exceptionally well and very different to the S2000 I had a few years ago. I'll post a few photos.

A few jobs for the weekend:
1) Wipers occasionally stop for no reason. I think that the position sensor requires a clean
2) Headlights aim very low on dipped beam. I think that I can adjust from under the bonnet
3) Driver's door is difficult to open. I think that a cable is too slack.

Any other member near to Oakham, Rutland?

Cheers

Hi Clog

Welcome! We relocated from Stretton in March... but still keep in touch with the area!

Wipers- I had the same, find the guide (simple to do) to open the casing and clean the grease
Headlights- very easy to adjust
Door- will probably be a stretched bowden cable, again all usual faults with an older Z4

The forum is great for help and how to- the 3.0 is something I aspire to as its a cracking car;

Here to help if you need any help!

Welcome :)

Ref the headlights, if you have Halogens in the car (I do in the E86), just be aware that they are woeful and even with top-notch bulbs they resemble candles in the dark!

That aside, enjoy it. Brilliant cars these, so unlike the modern stuff in my opinion -- in a good way obviously.

Hi and welcome to the forum Clog.

My only connection to Rutland is that is where my current car came from!

The halogen headlights aren't very good, but there are screw adjusters under the bonnet. One for height and one for left/right aim, but I can't remember which is which.
