Well it's not a 'new' Z per se; it's a 2003 E85 3.0L Sapphire black metallic roadster, with 100k on the clock. But it's my new Z and that's the most important bit. And it cost buttons! £4k precisely. Unbelievable value for money as a 5th owner car and a veritable nobrainer from my perspective in order to achieve roadster thrills and shennanigans. Speccing some tasty options, someone paid the thick end of 40k for this 13 years ago!
So with a feeling of new-found optimism and adventure, perhaps maybe nuanced with slight feelings of trepidation that something on it might go pop bang fizz in spectacular fashion, that I enter the realms of Z ownership and all it has to offer.
I'm looking forward to lavishing copious amounts of attention, fettling, tweaking, cleaning, tuning and of course driving it and sharing my adventures with all of you here. Great to know that there is such a wealth and plethora of useful advice and information on tap!
So, armed with a large spraybottle of Dettol Bacteriablaster, Meguiars and following its first mini detail and sanitisation regime (it was PROPER filthy), a couple of photos to get the ball rolling.
This coming Friday the famous 'Dave in Durham' will be relocating the roof motor to the boot as a preventive maintenance measure and piece of mind that it will save me from a possibly costly and inconvenient repair at some point in the future and plans are afoot to give it a full on detail inside and out.
Further plans include some new shocks and lowering springs. Its still nice and tight in the twistys but it sits just a tad high for my liking. What would you chaps and chapesses suggest for more tweaks and trimmings?

And before I forget I must say a big thankyou to those of you here who have posted various detailed guides, reports and reviews which have all contributed in enabling me to make an informed and relatively confident purchase of my own particular motor! Respic an ting
