New Wheels

Hi Z4-ers!
I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm looking to get my girl new wheels instead of the stock ones for 2016. Are there any ones out there that someone can recommend for me? What if I stagger the size front to rear?
They are all 17". I want 4 18"
OEM preferably but after market if pretty enough.

Well firstly welcome to the forum Mike.

17s are always "square" whereas the 18s and 19s are staggered, so wider on the rear. But the 19s seem prone to cracking, especially if you stick to run-flat tyres!

Although they are listed as "No Longer Available" I managed to buy a set of 295 wheels on the forum for my E86 and I loved them - so easy to clean!

Otherwise there are loads of after-market options - Veeman wheels seem pretty popular. By all accounts "cmwheels" seem to offer good prices, and a forum discount.

Nearly forgot, we like to see photos of new members' cars. :lol:

As Mr Tidy suggests there is a bad track record of bmw OE 19 wheels cracking , with or without runflats..

The database link I posted shows the standard / acceptable rim sizes / tyre sizes and offsets..

Several owners go off piste but then you need to be aware of the consequences..
